..brrrr..

Alright, where is my Spring.  I had to get my wool coat out again this weekend, boo.  I suppose it could be worse though.  Last year this same weekend there was a huge amount of snow, which is extra crazy for Arkansas.  Anyway I did brave the unseasonable weather.

I love a good floral print dress for spring. And with the weather this time of year constantly changing it up on us, it is good to be creative with mixing, layering, and accessorizing.

A couple of weekends ago we went for a drive in the country.  It was a nice day, but a bit overcast with the threat of rain, luckily I recently found this pretty new umbrella at a local surplus store. 

Now all I need is a trench coat and some galoshes and I'll be ready for some spring showers.

..you've got red on you..

I will go ahead and explain that I pretty much only ever wear red lipstick.  And, I only wear it when I have on something else that is red or at least something else really bright.  I am weird, I know, but I feel really odd if I know that my mouth is so noticable.  Besides, I am always making goofy faces.

Today, I embrace the red.  This sweater is so bright that only a large amount of silly face making will overpower it...

 BTW, this is my favorite winter hat this year.

And, yes that is a cute puppy on my sweater :)

About a week and a half ago there was a big snow that wrapped most of the US in a blanket of snowy snowness.  So, I grabbed up my husband and my big fluffy coat, and went to explore the rescently resurfaced terrain.

 

Oh, and speaking of winter wonderlands, I posted about a polyvore contest that I had neglected to respond to two months ago.  I figured that they had just gone on without me, but I went ahead and replied anyway.  Apparently, they had not finished judging yet, and I won 3rd place!!!! Yay!

And so it is Valentine's Day.  But I have already done one of those.  Instead you get me in my favorite new(thrifted) absolutely most comfortable sweater ever! I found it in the mens section at the Goodwill.  I am a bit smitten with the olive green, which isn't news, as it has been a fave of mine for many, many years, though I sadly don't own much of it.  I even love a good dirty (olive filled) martini.  I am just an olive lover all around!

Oh, I had to show off the new addition to the family, our cute little Scion :)
